The sellout Kalbar Sunflower Festival is BACK and it’s bigger and better than ever!

Imagine one million sunflowers, delicious food, market stalls, live music, photography opportunities like no other, heli rides, flower crown creations, pick your own flower bunches & MUCH MORE!

TMTE has teamed up with Kalbar Sunflower Festival to offer multiple tours during the course of the weekend. These packages will include general admission tickets to the festival, return transport, plus VIP parking to make your trip to Kalbar as enjoyable & stress free as possible.

Tour Packages

General Admission + Transport
General Admission tickets will give you full day access to the Kalbar Sunflower Festival, where you can enjoy acres of beautiful blooms, food and drink stalls, free entertainment, markets, plus a plethora of additional workshops and rides which you can add to your experience. Tickets also include return transport in an air-conditioned bus, plus VIP parking and easy access into the festival.

If you’re thinking about bringing the kids along, there will be plenty of fun things for them to do too! Think face painting, mazes, bubbles, painting, craft and a children’s fairy garden to delight the little sunflowers in your life.

Return Transport: Transport to the festival will be in our 12 or 22 seater bus, with bottled water available on the bus.

FACILITIES

There will be shade pavilions set up with seating on hay bales available. Food and drink are available to purchase through our many vendors onsite, or you’re welcome to BYO food & drink (no BYO alcohol is permitted). There will be a water refill station at the festival. We will also have market stalls with a wide variety of items to be purchased including sunflower themed handmade goods and fresh produce. There will be free live entertainment and plenty of free kids activities to enjoy on the day.

Accessibility: The wheelchair friendly purpose built track will be back again for 2025, which allows visitors who have mobility issues to roam through the sunflower fields. Kalbar Sunflower Festival will also be offering designated buggy rides into the fields as well. These will give you the opportunity to take some close up photographs of the beautiful sunflowers.

Toilet facilities – On site portable toilets as well as four designated disabled toilets

The sunflower farm is a working farm and it’s recommended that all patrons wear enclosed shoes, hats, sunscreen (umbrellas are also allowed).

TRANSPORT

Transport to the festival will be in a small group setting, in our 11 seater bus or 21 seater bus.

Pick up time:
Arrive at 8:45am for a 9:00am departure: The Wheel Of Brisbane, Southbank. Please meet at the loading zone on Russel Street (near the ABC Centre).
Arrive at 9:20am for a 9:35am deprture: Dinmore Station, Commuter Car-Park (carpark entry via River Rd)
Arrive at 10:00am for a 10:15am departure: Kalbar Showgrounds

Departing Time:
1:30pm - 2:15pm: Departing Sunflower Festival
Roughly 2:30pm: Returning to Dinmore station
Roughly 3:00-3:30pm: Returning to South Brisbane

We will allow 3.5 hours of festival fun (the average time spent at the festival is between 2-3 hours).
If we have two buses running on the day of your tour, we can depart at different times depending on the groups preferences. Ie; one bus may leave at 1:30pm and the other at 2:00pm.

*Please note our buses do not have anchor points for safety seats. Please refer to this link for further information regarding children traveling on passenger transport.

TICKETS

**We have sold out of tickets for transport + festival entry, however you can still buy entry only tickets direct from Kalbar Sunflowers around March / April 2025.
There’s still a chance we’ll receive some cancellations closer to the time. If you would like to be put on the waitlist for tickets, please email us on info@tashmareetravel.com with your preferred date/s and the number of people in your group.

$2 from each ticket will go towards The Mater Cancer Care Centre

Our tickets are inclusive of transport & VIP parking. All ticket holders must enter the festival with your tour guide representative. If you need to self drive, we have added a meeting point at Kalbar Showgrounds, where you can board the bus to enter the festival with the group. We can then take you back to your car when you’re ready (as long it’s well prior to the bus departure time, or on departure time with the rest of the crew).

TMTE will be providing transport tickets (which includes entry to the festival) for a limited time only or until tickets are sold out. Once we have secured your booking, you will be sent an email confirmation from Tash Maree Tours & Events which will secure your spot on the bus and your name will be added to the guest list . This is not a festival ticket & will not be valid at the festival gates. Your tour guide will have a group pass for you to enter the festival on your selected date.

For festival entry tickets (self-drive option), please keep an eye on Kalbar Sunflowers for their ticket release date, which is expected around late March to early April. Please note that once their ticket sales open, our pre-organised tour tickets will no longer be available for purchase.

Cancelation Policy

Ticket Transfers: If you are unable to attend the festival, you can transfer your ticket to another person at no additional cost. Please make sure to inform us of the name(s) of the new ticket holder(s) so we can update our guest list accordingly

PLEASE be careful buying or selling tickets on facebook pages, as last year we unfortunately saw a lot of scammers bombarding our event page.

Free Cancelation until 1st March, 2025
25% Cancellation fee from 2nd March - 21st March
50% Cancelation fee from 22nd March - 20th April
No refunds given from 21st April, however tickets can be transferred to a new name
